Contrawound Toroidal Helical Antenna (CTHA)

The Contrawound Toroidal Helical Antenna (CTHA) is a new patented antenna (US Patent Nos. 5,442,369 and 5,551,853) developed at West Virginia University's Center for Industrial Research Applications (CIRA). The CTHA is smaller than traditional antennas and exhibits performance characteristics that equal or exceed any traditional antenna. The CTHA has been successfully tested and is considered to have immediate potential to revolutionize antenna applications.
